Vine Groups & Bible Studies

Vine groups are small Bible studies most often meeting twice a month. Meetings are usually held in homes, but sometimes, in restaurant booths in the early morning hours. Vine groups set aside time to learn, to pray and to exchange ideas. Long-lasting friendships very often develop through involvement in Vine Groups.

There is a Vine Group/Bible Study suited just for YOU:

  • Men's Vine Group meets every other Saturday at 7am at the Englewood IHOP
  • Men's Discussion Group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7pm here at the church

Youth Groups

Junior and senior youth groups typically get together twice a month on Sunday. Group activities include a host of excursions to local fun spots, as well as places where teens can enjoy serving the community. Check the calendar or call the church office for meeting dates and times, as well as special events (like overnight lock-ins).

Prayer Chain

Our prayer chain consists of 30 church members. The group is divided into 3 smaller groups. One person from each group is contacted with prayer requests. That person then contacts another within her group. This continues until all prayer chain members have been called. To request prayers, please contact Hazel Highsmith at (303) 756-0658 or the church office at (303) 722-1424.

There is also a "Prayer Team" that meets on Monday mornings at 10:30am at the church to pray for the members of Christ Lutheran and the families in the Early Childhood Center. If you would like to be included in the prayers for the week, please contact the church office. If you would like to join the team, just show up on Monday morning.

Women's Guild

Our local Women's Guild is part of the Rocky Mountain District Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), the official women's organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Various committees within this group serve to meet many needs of the congregation. First and foremost, we support the missionary goals of the synodical LWML. We also serve meals for weddings, funerals, shut-ins and at other times when called upon to do so.

Our meetings are held the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Additional information may be obtained by calling Eleanor Von Bargen, the Women’s Guild President for 2007-09, at 303-765-1400.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild was organized to assist the Pastor in creating the visual part of our worship service. We choose the parapets and the banners appropriate for the liturgical season. We also put in their proper place the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. The members of the Altar Guild spend about an hour once a week for a couple of months each year to get the chancel ready for worship. These members rotate monthly throughout the year. The Guild is always looking for new volunteers who feel led to serve the Lord in this way. Interested members may call Elsie Leiker at (303) 691-2526.
