WORSHIP Sunday morning worship services are held at 7:45am and 10:15am. The 7:45 service is less formal than the traditional 10:15 service. Sunday School and adult Bible studies are at 9:00 during the school year. Children of all ages are welcome at all times.
Believing strongly in God's command to "sing unto the Lord a new song..." Christ Lutheran ministry includes:
All choirs help lead worship on Sunday mornings on a scheduled basis. You are invited to join us. For more information, contact the church office.
Adult Bible studies are offered on Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Two studies are offered: an in-depth study of a book of the Bible and a topical study of the application of Biblical and Christian principles to contemporary issues. Discussion is always encouraged (but not required) and participants enjoy learning from each other. Inquiring minds and an openness to the lessons from scripture are all that's required. We hope you'll join us.
During the school year, children enjoy bible stories, arts and crafts, and the companionship of other children their age. Sunday School begins at 9:00 AM and lasts an hour. Children are grouped by ages. For more information, or to volunteer contact the church office.
OTHER MINISTRIES
Once a year during the summer, volunteers from the Christ Lutheran congregation spend a week helping to build the ministry at Ysletta Mission in El Paso, Mexico.
Christ Lutheran volunteers assume year-round responsibility for providing a worship service at Jewell Care Center Health Care Facility every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. All of you are invited to join us any Sunday, and lend your support to the services. Your children are welcome to join you as they bring special smiles to the faces of the residents.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Warren Kettner (phone 303-935-2969), and he will be happy to add you to the schedule. The more people we have to push wheelchairs, assist residents, play the piano and speak a short devotion, the less burden it will be for all involved. We ask for your continued prayers that God may bless this ministry of our church.
We will be selecting a Vacation Bible School curriculium for summer 2009 after the first of the year. If you have suggestions or would like to get involved in the process, please feel free to contact the church office.
